STEAK, is one of my favorite food. It's just that I can't order them weekly or even monthly simply I can't afford them, Haha! I decided to learn how, so I can have as much of it and for my Hubby's Tummy...

How can you cook a tender juicy steak at home?
How can you cook steaks as tender as your favorite restaurant?
You invest a lot of money into steaks, for special occasions and when dinner time comes, they are tough. I'm sure it feels wonderful if the judge/s will kiss you by the taste of your cooking, ayt? (Hehe Thanks My Love) So do it with your whole heart :)
The first step to cook a good steak is to choose the right kind of grade of meat. Choose the top quality beef in your supermarkets and make sure it is marbled or minimal marbling of fat and leaner will do. The most tender and juicy steaks come from the sirloin, the short loin and the rib part. Aged steaks are more expensive and usually found in high end supermarkets.
Once you've purchased your meat, you can further increase the tenderness and juiciness by marinating it.
Try a marinade made of a good cup of wine and olive oil, mixed with 2 tablespoons of lemon or herb vinegar. Add seasonings such as garlic, freshly ground pepper, onion and herbs. Place the steak in a ziplock bag or very zealed container.
Refrigerate Overnight.
When ready to cook, place meat in place and flat to prevent it from curling. Steaks can cook broiled, grilled or pan fried. Don't forget to turn the steak only once. Cook the meat until browned on one side and half done, then turn and finish the other side. Turning to often will stew the meat rather than searing it and produces a less juicy steak. When the steak is done, allow it to rest before serving. Yes, I am reading it now while writing it, and I so sound like a real master chef huh?,hehehe
Ahem, seriously, while the meat rests you can make a sauce if desired. Use your favorite ready made sauce, or fry mushrooms and onions in the pan or mashed potato with veggies. I usually use mushrooms and onions and fry it with butter with a little flour, and splash it with wine to loosen the bits, and seasonings to taste. Now, the most awaited part is to SERVE AND ENJOY!
You may serve it with RISOTTO ( do check it out on my next blog, probably the end of the month).. And wear your sexy elegant dress and red lipstick to match it all up... ^.^
